Grayson Perry at the British Museum

Not to be missed! Grayson Perry (who lives in our neighbourhood!) is known mostly for his ceramics and his cross-dressing alter ego Claire. In the British Museum’s Grayson Perry: Tomb of an Unknown Craftsman, Perry has selected his favourite objects from the museum which were made by ancient and unknown craftspeople and juxtaposed them with his own work, exploring autobiographical themes of his childhood, imaginary world, spiritual beliefs, and identity, just to name a few. Love it. Luckily, the museum has extended the installation until 26 February, but make sure you book tickets in advance.

Hey I I’m going to check out Grayson Perry this weekend. Wish you were back to go with me!

  2. Thanks again! I just watched the Grayson Perry link from your blog. I went on a trip last week to our own small state museum but had just such a wonderful time. Serendipity.
